Many parents worry their child is too young to lift weights. All-Star Sports Training believes in a methodological progression of strength training from young to the experienced. Athletes aged 8-11 will go through a series of body weight exercises. These are designed to strengthen the athlete in a safe manner, avoiding excessive stress on growth plates and developing a solid strength training base.

Youth Training Program

Hey Kids!  Are you ready to have fun?  Do you love sports?  Come train with us!

Parents and Coaches:  All-Star Sports Training knows the importance of safety and fun in a young student’s time with us.  We believe that gradually and consistently building up strength at a young age inhibits bad habits from being learned that will hinder his or her performance later in life.   Our Youth Program is fun and challenging; similar to the older students' camps, but tailored for the needs of 8-12 year olds.  Our focus is to improve the student's body awareness and coordination, and to utilize footwork drills for increased speed and agility. 

The youth program is purchased just as the speed and agility package and includes:

  • Pre performance testing
  • 8 treadmill sessions
  • 8 plyometric / agility sessions
  • 16 strength sessions customized for youth athletes (Body weight training designed to correct muscular imbalances, increase total body strength and reduce the risk of injury)
  • Stability and core training
  • Dartfish video analysis of running form
  • Post Performance Testing

This program is for ages 8-12. For optimal results, 3 sessions per week should be performed over a 6 week period.
